JOB DESCRIPTION

As a social welfare officer in the Authority Unit, you will work with investigations, decisions, and follow-ups of services for the elderly and disabled according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL).

Within SoL, you will work with needs assessments for individuals living in regular housing, special housing, and with discharges from hospitals. You will work closely with nurses, occupational therapists, unit managers, rehabilitation staff, and nursing assistants in the regular home care area, reception teams, and special accommodations. As an officer, you will perform authority functions and investigate incoming reports and applications. You will also work with My Plans in connection with planning for discharge from the hospital. The work consists of investigating, assessing, deciding, and following up on services according to SoL for adults over 20 years old. Collaboration with service providers, inpatient and outpatient care, and other related areas is an important part of the work.

The tasks according to LSS consist of investigating, assessing, deciding, and following up on services according to LSS for children and adults. Follow-up of the services is an important part of the work to ensure that the services are of good quality and that individuals are given the opportunity for participation and influence in shaping the support. Maintaining contact with users, their relatives or legal representatives, as well as collaborating with service providers, inpatient and outpatient care, and other related areas is a significant part of the work. The job requires both the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another comparable higher education that includes social law and administrative law. You have knowledge of and interest in working with authority functions and a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. Previous experience in authority functions and social work is a requirement.

You have good collaboration skills, are organized, and have knowledge in administration and documentation. Our documentation is done in the operational system Lifecare. Experience with this system is an advantage.

You are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. Personal suitability is highly valued. In Landskrona, people from many different nationalities live, and we welcome applicants with broad cultural competence.

A valid driver's license (B) is required for the position.
