Main Mission

The purpose of the Community main mission is to increase residents' quality of life and their ability to influence their living conditions. Together, the activities of the main mission create conditions for good health, an attractive, accessible, and vibrant urban environment, countryside and nature, a safe and healthy indoor and outdoor environment, a rich supply of culture, sports, leisure, and good infrastructure.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In Ängelholm, we conduct active and long-term work to provide our youth with a positive, stimulating, and active leisure time where youth influence and participation are prioritized. Our activities are based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The youth centers in Ängelholm municipality are HBTQI certified.

We are looking for a full-time youth leader to be placed at the municipality's youth centers. You will, together with your colleagues, develop the activities.

Our main target group is children and youth in middle school from grade 5, high school, and upper secondary school.

The position includes working both at and outside the youth centers. The activities are constantly changing depending on which youth currently visit the youth center. What is central is that the activities should be based on the youth's own ideas and active participation at the youth center. We are part of the KEKS network where we work with youth-produced activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has an interest in making a difference in young people's everyday lives. If you have a youth leader education or other pedagogical training and also experience working with youth, this is certainly a strong merit. We value if you have your own interests/skills that create added value in the activities.

Your profile:

• You are a secure adult, structured, and have the ability to plan and organize your work.
• You have the ability to build good relationships with youth but also to maintain clear boundaries to create safety.
• You have good knowledge of today's technology regarding multimedia, sound and light, as well as IT.
• You are creative and solution-oriented.
• You enjoy working together with others to achieve common goals but also working individually, and you are flexible and take initiative.
• You are driven and have a norm-critical approach.
• You have basic computer skills.
• A driving license (B) is a requirement.
