About the Role and Workplace

We are now looking for a support assistant for our group home in Gunnesbo.

The area is located in western Lund and we support users with varying support needs.

We are looking for someone who is secure and stable in their role as a support assistant. You need to have knowledge and experience working with self-harming behavior, challenging behavior, and extensive care needs. We work in a dynamic environment, so it is an advantage if you have experience working with both physically and verbally aggressive behavior.

As a support assistant, you will assist our users with individually tailored support such as shopping, cooking, care, cleaning, and leisure activities. Through pedagogical support, alternative communication, and care, you and the team work to provide users with good living conditions and independence.

The residence has a car primarily for transporting users to and from daily activities, but also for certain larger grocery purchases and outings, so you are required to have a driver's license.

Your tasks will also include designing implementation plans, documenting, and conducting regular evaluations. As a contact person, you will collaborate and communicate with parents, relatives, guardians, and colleagues.

About Us

Residential LSS is divided into 22 managerial areas. Each manager has two to three group or service homes in their area.

At our residences, support assistants and support staff work. There is a pedagogical coordinator per area who works with the overall view and quality of the pedagogical work. We have at least one support educator per residence who works closely with users while also supervising staff. Additionally, coordinators, unit administrators, and licensed personnel also work.

Qualifications

• Approved grades from the care and nursing program, child and leisure program, social and behavioral program, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish.
• Good knowledge and experience of low-arousal responses and clear pedagogical methods.
• Basic knowledge of digital work tools.
• Experience/knowledge of care.
• Experience/knowledge of challenging behavior.
• A driver's license is a requirement.
