JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to develop and strengthen the conditions for an active and meaningful life for the municipality's seniors.

The Senior Coordinator is a new position in Ängelholm Municipality that will develop, coordinate, and strengthen the municipality's efforts for seniors. The mission aims to promote an active, safe, and socially sustainable life for older residents and to prevent loneliness and social isolation.

The role includes planning and coordinating activities, meeting places, and initiatives aimed at seniors. The Senior Coordinator will also work proactively and create dialogue with the elderly to capture needs, interests, and ideas that can contribute to the development of the municipality's senior activities.

The work takes place in close collaboration with the municipality's administrations, associations, volunteer organizations, and other relevant actors. The Senior Coordinator will act as a link between seniors, civil society, and municipal operations.

The position is located in Culture and Leisure, which is part of the main mission Society under the unit Bad, Sports, and Outdoor Life.

Responsibilities include:

• coordinating and developing activities and meeting places for seniors
• initiating and driving projects that strengthen seniors' participation and quality of life
• collaborating with associations, organizations, and municipal operations
• spreading information about activities, support, and community services to seniors
• working preventively against loneliness and social isolation
• contributing to the development of the municipality's strategic work in elderly and senior issues

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Relevant post-secondary education in social work, public health, social sciences, behavioral sciences, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.

Experience

You have experience in coordination, project management, or development work; previous experience working with the elderly or senior activities is an asset. Collaboration with associations, civil society, or working in public operations is also an asset.

Knowledge and Skills

We are looking for someone who has a good ability to plan, coordinate, and develop activities and initiatives. You have strong communication skills in spoken and written Swedish and are accustomed to working independently and in a structured manner.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who has good collaboration skills, is relationship-building, and attentive. You are naturally proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with other actors.

Other

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.
