About the Position

The role includes practical and theoretical teaching in areas such as CAD/CAM, computer-controlled production in machining, production knowledge, and industrial technology processes - in accordance with the high school curriculum and subject plans. The job involves acquiring, planning, and following up on workplace-based education (APL). As a teaching teacher, you will have close contact with students and colleagues. You are an important resource and role model in students' learning and further development.

You and your colleagues create a developing study environment for the students, an environment characterized by a formative approach and high goal fulfillment. Students' well-being, safety, and desire to learn are largely determined by relationships with staff. We are looking for someone who has a good ability to create trusting relationships with students of mixed ages, from teenagers in high school to older adults, and someone who prioritizes students' participation and influence.

Teachers and students work closely together, and there is always someone available to bounce ideas off. Competence Center is located in central Tidaholm by the edge of the Tidan River. The school's building on Smedjegatan is situated amidst lush green areas.

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting on 2026-08-10, or by agreement.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a relevant teaching degree for the position. We have specializations in welding technology, as well as production and mechanical engineering. The position primarily focuses on production and mechanical engineering. The role requires competence in CNC technology with machining in metal (Lathe/Milling). Training in ISO programming, dialog programming, CAM preparation for machining (Autodesk FeatureCAM), 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor), blueprint reading, and all other basic vocational theory such as materials science, tolerances, etc. as well as other commonly used machine skills in the manufacturing industry.

Other desirable qualifications: Welding with MIG/MAG, MMB, and TIG (135/136, 111, and 141), CNC technology focused on sheet metal processing machines (cutting and bending).
