We are now looking for two social workers for exciting assignments within specialist healthcare. We offer permanent full-time positions starting by agreement.

The Role of the Social Worker

As a social worker with us, you will work with psychosocial treatment within somatic specialist care, in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The patients you meet have various somatic illnesses. As a social worker, you are involved in care throughout all stages of the illness process: from initial illness and acute phase to later follow-up. This often involves collaboration and cooperation with other professionals and services that affect patients' daily lives, treatment, and well-being. There is a good and well-developed collaboration with relevant clinics that see the social worker's competence as a natural and important part of their care planning for the patient.

We work with digital solutions and digital patient meetings, which we will continue to develop, so we would like to see that you have an interest in digital treatment methods.

Your tasks include:

• Crisis and support conversations
• Support for relatives
• Community information
• Collaboration with healthcare staff, other rehabilitation professionals, authorities, and healthcare providers
• Participation in development and quality work

Two Focus Areas

In this recruitment, we are looking for two social workers for two different assignments:

• Geriatrics and Medicine In this position, you will work with the geriatric clinic and the medical clinic. You will meet patients with various dementia diseases and neurological diseases as well as their relatives.
• Surgical Care, also with the role of rehabilitation coordinator Here, you will be part of a large group of social workers with extensive experience. The work involves social worker interventions with various clinics within the surgical care area. You will meet patients with different cancers and other serious illnesses. Part of the position also involves working as a rehabilitation coordinator where you support the patient and physician in the sick leave process.

The rehabilitation center is a regional joint operation where different competencies and experiences support the development for the patient, the profession, and rehabilitation from a holistic perspective. Regardless of where in the region one lives, the patient should have access to equitable rehabilitation of good quality.

Approximately 300 employees work within the rehabilitation center across 11 areas with a cross-professional composition based on a person-centered approach.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. We prefer that you are a licensed healthcare social worker. Previous experience in social work, preferably within healthcare or experience working with the sick leave process, is desirable.
