Your new job

You provide individualized support in everyday life for children and young people, focusing on participation, independence, and development.

The work is based on a professional and low-arousal approach. Most time is spent directly working with children and young people, as well as providing pedagogical and care-oriented support in daily life. Other tasks include:

• Support in daily routines (e.g., meals, some care, play, leisure, rest)
• Pedagogical support in social interaction and communication
• Implementing interventions according to the action plan and following up
• Documenting according to laws and guidelines
• Collaborating with guardians, colleagues, schools, and health care
• Ensuring safety, care, and well-being

As a support pedagogue, you will also be responsible for supporting, guiding, and developing the workgroup in pedagogical work towards citizens. You will also assist with documentation, action plans, and work plans. Together, you will identify needs and opportunities for development at the individual level.

Your qualifications

• For the title support assistant, a completed upper secondary program in child and leisure with a focus on social/pedagogical work or the care and nursing program/certified nursing assistant with specialization in the field of disabilities/psychiatry is required.
• For the title support pedagogue, a post-secondary education in the field of disabilities with a pedagogical focus comprising at least 200 YH points or 60 HP is required. Alternatively, a combination that corresponds to at least two semesters of full-time studies.
• Alternatively, you may have other education that the employer considers equivalent. The educational requirement may be waived if you have long-term and relevant experience working with children and young people with disabilities. A valid driver's license (B) is required for the position.

We are looking for someone who has good knowledge of LSS and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as a professional approach focusing on low-arousal responses. You have basic knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities, can document in operational systems, and express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written. Training in AAC, motivational interviewing (MI), low-arousal responses, or similar is an advantage, as is experience with short-term accommodation and documentation according to IBIC. Knowledge of communication support such as AAC is a plus.

You are engaged, responsible, and have the child's needs at the center. The role requires good physical and mental capacity, and you have the desire to develop and contribute to the development of the organization.

Welcome to us! The goal of Klöverstigen 14 short-term accommodation is to provide children and young people with a safe, meaningful, and developmental stay based on LSS and SoL. The interventions should be characterized by participation, self-determination, and individualized support, contributing to the child's development, well-being, and safety. The operation should also provide relief to families and collaborate with guardians and other actors around the child.

Good to know

The recruitment concerns a permanent position. Working hours are scheduled for day and evening shifts, as well as night shifts on weekdays and weekends. The recruitment process is ongoing with rolling selection and interviews. Start date for the position is by agreement. The recruitment also includes summer temporary positions, and there is also the possibility of summer temporary positions in other short-term operations.

Criminal record check

To work within LSS operations with children, we need an approved extract from the police's criminal record. Order one directly when you submit your application, as the normal processing time with the police is about 2 weeks.
