The Role of Support Assistant with Us

With us, children and young people receive support with care, supervision, transfers, activities, social interaction, and communication. The children/young people use medical, orthopedic, and technical aids. Some interventions are carried out through delegation from a nurse and physiotherapist, such as medication management, nutrition via PEG, and management of respiratory aids.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Establishing and following implementation plans and routines based on the children's needs
• Collaborating with the children and young people's network, such as family, school, and healthcare
• Using AAC, alternative and augmentative communication
• Creating a safe and stimulating environment together with your colleagues

Your Profile

As a person, you need to be attentive and feel secure in thinking outside the box as daily life is guided by the children's current condition. You adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You are proactive and self-driven in your work as you will have primary responsibility for one of the children during your shift. You are relationship-oriented and have a good approach, as well as the ability to relate to both residents and colleagues and relatives in a responsive and smooth manner. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

• is a trained nursing assistant
• has experience working with the target group

It Is Meritorious If:

• you have previously worked with children and young people
• you have experience with alternative and augmentative communication, AAC

Lilla Grönkulla is a residence with special services for children and young people according to LSS, located in central Kungsbacka. The residence consists of a villa that accommodates four children/young people, where the children have their own rooms furnished together with their parents. There are large common areas as well as a lovely outdoor space and garden.

The environment at Lilla Grönkulla is adapted based on the children's needs for sensory experiences, sensory rooms, and with proximity to forest and nature, allowing children access to outdoor activities in a stimulating environment.

Our Offer and Additional Information

We offer a permanent full-time position starting by agreement.

Within the Department of Individual & Family Care, all employees within Residential Services and Home Support are employed full-time but have the option to reduce their desired working hours based on the needs of the operation.
