Who will you be working with?
Matilda is a lively, cheerful, and social 20-year-old girl living in Kullavik. We are now looking for someone to work as a personal assistant for Matilda approximately 3 shifts a week. This position is well-suited for someone looking for a part-time job to combine with studies or other work. Matilda works at a daily activity center in Kungsbacka from Monday to Friday, which means that shifts are primarily scheduled for afternoons and weekends, but early mornings and evenings may also occur. During an afternoon shift, you will meet Matilda to accompany her in the taxi home to continue working at home. On weekday afternoons, Matilda enjoys relaxing at home in Kullavik, having coffee, listening to music, and playing. On weekends, Matilda likes to go to gymnastics or take trips to places like the Maritime Museum or Universeum, Frölunda Torg, or jump around at JumpYard. Matilda is a charming girl with an interest in music, mobile phones, and languages. She also enjoys swimming, Star Wars, and animals. Matilda has a rare diagnosis called Cri du chat, which in her case means an intellectual disability and entails special support needs in daily life and activities. Please read more on the association's website: http://www.criduchat.com/
Scope of the position
The schedule is planned together, so some flexibility regarding times and weekdays can be accommodated. Matilda stays with her parents every other week. The shifts are primarily scheduled between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM from Monday to Wednesday, as well as one shift on the weekend lasting 3–4 hours.
Who are you applying?
It is important that you, as an applicant, are a responsible and secure person. We want you to be an engaged, positive, and creative person who can encourage and support activities.
You also need to be attentive and independent to take your own initiatives. Experience with disabilities is an advantage.
The tasks include all the help Matilda needs in her daily life, such as assistance with meals, hygiene, toilet visits, play, and socializing.
Since the shifts are short, we see an advantage if you have other commitments in the form of studies or wish to combine this job with other work. We hope you view this position as a long-term opportunity.
It is an advantage if you live in Kungsbacka or the surrounding area of Kullavik. A driver's license and access to a car are also a plus but not a requirement.
Due to the nature of the work, we are only seeking female assistants for this position.
We also require you to provide a certificate from the criminal record register. Apply for this now via the link below: https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/barn-med-funktionsnedsattning/
