About the role

As a healthcare teacher at Astar, you will teach adult students both practically and theoretically in courses within the high school program for Health and Care. You will lead the teaching based on the Astar model, where clear steps, controlled understanding, and structured guidance create the best possible conditions for students' learning, safety, and professional development.

You will plan and conduct teacher-led instruction that provides students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to work professionally in health and care. This means that you will alternate practical moments, scenario-based exercises, and theoretical reviews to create high quality and clear progression in the education.

Your responsibilities also include actively sourcing, matching, and following up on internship placements within health and care. You will build good relationships with organizations in areas such as elderly care, LSS, and health care to ensure relevant, safe, and developing practical environments. From the start of the education, you will work closely with the labor market and support students in their journey towards work, further studies, and professional identity.

The position is full-time with the possibility of starting immediately or waiting for a notice period.

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license in the subjects or solid experience as a teacher in the field. If neither of these two requirements applies to you, we kindly ask you not to apply.
