About the Position

The Security Unit in Kävlinge Municipality has a broad and exciting mission that spans the entire security and preparedness area.

Within the unit, issues are handled regarding crisis preparedness, civil defense, crime prevention work, and physical security. We work closely with the municipality's operations and are tasked with supporting a safe and secure development within the municipality while ensuring that there is good preparedness to handle unforeseen events. It is a varied job that can quickly shift from a strategic perspective to a more operational one.

Responsibilities

The main focus of the position is civil preparedness with the following responsibilities:

• Develop and document the municipality's civil preparedness work and continuity planning based on legal requirements
• Conduct analyses of various kinds concerning legal requirements and societal development
• Prepare decision-making materials for the municipal executive board within the above areas of responsibility.
• Monitor the environment in relevant areas.
• Develop and coordinate the municipality's crime prevention work together with internal and external collaboration partners.
• Internal security work which includes personnel safety, locks, alarms, and fire protection

You are pedagogical and have the ability to engage and create understanding of the work area among those you collaborate with.

Qualifications

• Relevant higher education/university degree or equivalent education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Experience working with civil preparedness.
• Experience preparing materials (investigation and analysis work).
• Experience collaborating and coordinating work with various societal actors.
• Good knowledge of current legislation in the areas.
• Experience from politically governed organizations, especially municipal operations.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

We place great importance on your personality as you will be part of a small team of employees. Your working style is structured and you find it easy to work both in teams and independently.

Occasionally, unforeseen events occur, where you will support the operations and coordinate appropriate measures together with the security manager.

About the Employment

Some work is scheduled outside regular working hours.

This position is security classified, which means that Swedish citizenship is a requirement and that a security screening with background check will be conducted prior to employment. The employment is contingent upon your approval after screening and check.

The administrative department consists of 13 employees. The department's overarching mission is to be a support function for the municipality's political organization and management. The department is also responsible for security issues, information security, GDPR, legal advice, and archives. In our workgroup, we want everyone to contribute to a good working climate and help each other when needed.
