Fjällenskolan - a solid foundation for the future.

We are a school that operates from preschool class to grade 9 and is located in Viksjö in a residential area. The school has about 650 students. We work in teams for close collaboration around our students' development, both socially and academically. Since 2011, we have been using digital tools in various ways, including Smartboards installed in classrooms for grades F-3, and students in grades 4-9 have their own laptops.

We want to take advantage of having students from six to fifteen years by having joint theme days for the whole school where older students work together with younger children/students. Another part of utilizing the entire organization's knowledge and experiences is that we have a joint pedagogical leadership group with representatives from each area of operation whose purpose is to drive and anchor school development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Fjällenskolan, you will work with proactive, responsible, and collaborative colleagues, and there is committed leadership at all levels, characterized by high expectations and great trust. Fjällenskolan is organized based on the entire mission of compulsory school according to the curriculum's chapters one, two, and three and systematically works with knowledge, values, and social assignments according to LGR 22.

You will work in an organization that means you will belong to a working group as well as a subject group that consists of collegial learning around the development of teaching, values work, and students' social competencies.

As a mathematics teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching in your subject based on the established curriculum, as well as planning in collaboration with the other mathematics teachers at the school to create equity. The position includes being a mentor to a class together with a colleague, where you are responsible for implementing values and social work.

You are responsible for assessing students' overall learning in teaching, values work, and social competencies as well as documenting the same. It is important that you follow up on students' results, analyze them, and take action to improve the results. Furthermore, you, along with other staff, drive an operation that helps children become secure, creative, and curious.

QUALIFICATIONS

We want you to have a Swedish teacher's license and teaching qualifications to teach students in mathematics at the secondary level. It is meritorious if you have previous experience working as a teacher in the relevant grades and subjects, preferably from a multicultural school. It is also meritorious if you have qualifications in another subject.

You are engaged and flexible and can easily adapt to different situations. You can take initiative, are creative, and have clear leadership in the classroom. You can work independently but are also collaborative, both with children, parents, and colleagues. It is important that you are attentive and have high social competence. You take responsibility for your part while seeing the whole.

You master the Swedish language in both speech and writing and have the ability to communicate in a clear and positive way and to create trust and good relationships, both internally and externally. You have leadership skills with pedagogical insight and the ability to motivate students.
