We are looking for a highly experienced and proactive work environment coordinator for a large construction and civil engineering project in the early stages of construction. This assignment is suitable for you who want to combine strategic responsibility with operational work and who are motivated to create safe, structured, and well-functioning workplaces in complex project environments.

About the assignment As a work environment coordinator, you will be part of the department's staff and have a central coordinating role in workplace safety. You will act as the link between the project organization, central functions, and other parts of the business. The assignment involves leading, supporting, and coordinating the work environment efforts in several sub-projects and reporting to the head of staff. You are an important support to the department manager, project manager, and project leaders in their work to achieve the project's goals and meet requirements related to workplace safety and client responsibility. The project organization is in the early stages of construction, which gives you the opportunity to be involved in developing, establishing, and implementing methods, routines, and structures for workplace safety from the ground up.

Your responsibilities You are responsible for the development and coordination of workplace safety issues within the department and play a key role in driving a proactive, systematic, and preventive construction work environment.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Lead, support, and coordinate work environment officers in the sub-projects

• Ensure that the work environment efforts are conducted in accordance with legislation, contracts, and internal requirements

• Support project management in methods, routines, and follow-up on construction sites

• Follow up on contractors' safety measures and quality assure documentation

• Identify, analyze, and prioritize risk factors to prevent accidents and incidents

• Drive experience feedback, incident investigations, and improvement work

• Develop and implement common methods, templates, and support documents

• Compile, analyze, and present accident statistics and workplace safety risks

• Plan and conduct work environment audits, training, and workshops

• Prepare and coordinate work environment inspections

You collaborate with work environment strategists and coordinators in other parts of the organization and actively contribute to the development of an overarching work environment effort and long-term goals, such as a roadmap towards zero accidents. Mandatory requirements

• At least 10 years of documented experience in leading work environment efforts in civil engineering projects or larger construction/industrial projects

• At least 5 years of experience in work environment efforts during design and expansion

• Experience from at least one larger project with a budget over 300 million SEK during the construction phase

• Very good knowledge of work environment legislation (Work Environment Act, regulations, and directives)

• Very good English in both spoken and written form, with daily use in at least one previous assignment

• Valid training in work environment and BAS-P/U, updated according to current recommendations

Desirable qualifications

• Documented experience of proactive and systematic work environment efforts

• At least 2 years of experience from the client side

• Experience in monitoring and reporting on work environment issues

• Experience in conducting work environment audits
