About the job

Norskolan is a primary school (grades F-3) with about 200 students in the Näsbypark school district. It is a well-liked and well-functioning school with a high demand for places. The surrounding area offers beautiful environments for outdoor activities, including meadows, forests, and beaches.

At Norskolan, the focus is on students' development and learning. Our safety surveys show that we have secure students who thrive with us. We have dedicated staff who provide varied teaching in classrooms and fun activities during breaks and leisure time. Community and shared understanding are important to us.

We are now looking for a positive and engaged resource educator who wants to be part of our team and work for students' safety and development.

As a resource educator

As a resource educator, you will collaborate with the classroom teacher during school hours to support students based on their needs. This may involve supporting individual students in need of assistance as well as providing support at the group level, such as support in smaller groups. The work is a collaboration with other educators in the class where everyone helps each other. You will be part of the leisure center staff and work similarly with students during leisure time. You will plan together with teachers and leisure colleagues to provide our students with the best conditions for safety and learning.

At Norskolan, we work with IBIS (Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools) which advocates positive reinforcement to promote good behaviors among students. It is therefore important that you share this view and actively work to recognize students' strengths and competencies.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• is a childcare worker and/or has experience working in leisure centers.
• has experience working with students in need of support.
• actively works for a school where everyone is included in the activities.
• is easy to collaborate with and solution-oriented.

We are looking for someone who is a good leader with clarity in communication, goals, and results, and who finds it easy to collaborate with colleagues, guardians, and students.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
