Job Responsibilities

The position is linked to a research project aimed at developing and applying AI-based methods for the analysis of complex experimental data from advanced 3D cell culture systems in cancer research.

The postdoctoral researcher will primarily work on the development of methods for the analysis and interpretation of large datasets, where data is generated in the form of microscope images and electrical signals from experimental platforms. The experimental data collection is performed in close collaboration with other researchers in the project.

The job responsibilities include, among others:

  • developing and applying machine learning and deep learning methods for the analysis of microscope images from 3D cell cultures,
  • analyzing and modeling time-resolved electrical signals, such as electrical impedance spectroscopy, related to biological systems,
  • integrating image and signal data to extract biologically relevant and quantitative measures,
  • contributing to the development of automated and scalable analysis workflows for experimental data,
  • collaborating with experimental researchers in biophysics, microfluidics, and cell biology,
  • documenting and communicating research results through scientific publications and presentations.

The postdoctoral researcher is expected to work independently on method development and data analysis, as well as actively contribute to the research group's collaborative work and interdisciplinary collaborations.

We offer access to advanced research infrastructure as well as experimental datasets from modern biophysical platforms.
