Norskolan is currently seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to support a student with diabetes.

About the job

Norskolan is a safe and inspiring F-3 school where students develop both academically and socially. The atmosphere is characterized by community and respect, where we work together for a calm and secure study environment. We have dedicated staff at the school, and since we are a small school, we work collaboratively throughout the students' school day.

As a teaching assistant, you will primarily work to support a student with diabetes throughout the school day and during the time the student is in after-school care. You will need to assist the student with medical needs and maintain contact with guardians. During other times, your role is to support the entire student group in their learning, create security in the classroom, and during transitions. You will be part of a team with teachers and after-school staff in one of our four departments.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has:

• training as a childcare worker or experience working with children in preschool/school
• good structure in your work and is quick to learn
• the ability to build good relationships

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of or experience working with diabetes.
