The position is a part-time, temporary employment paid by the hour, with immediate start.

Your Mission

As a substitute teacher, you need to step in at short notice at one of our schools or preschools for parts of days, full days, or longer periods. You support where needed based on the day's activities and the conditions of the operations. This means you will work at several different schools and preschools, as well as with younger children and students in grades F-9. You will alternate between working in preschool, after-school care, and school.

During the school day, you are a present, active, and supportive substitute teacher or student coach in the classroom, during transitions, and during breaks. You follow given instructions and implement teaching based on an existing plan. It is the regular staff who are responsible for the methods, planning, and development of teaching materials.

As a substitute in after-school care, you actively participate in and support various after-school activities. You receive tasks and instructions from the regular after-school staff on-site. Together, you are responsible for the students' safety during breaks and leisure time, as well as for conducting fun and educational activities, both outdoors and indoors. You are a reliable and present adult who takes care of and plays with the students.

In the role of substitute in preschool, you contribute together with colleagues to a pedagogical activity that is safe, fun, and developmental for each child. You take care of and play with the children both indoors and outdoors and contribute to safe care and to stimulate the children's individual development and learning.

Your Experience

For this position, you must have:

• high school education
• good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• experience and interest in working with children and youth in schools and preschools or as a leader in sports or community activities
• high school education with a focus on children and leisure
• experience working with students in need of extra adaptations and special support
• the ability and interest in working with both younger children in preschool and students in school.

You find it easy to collaborate, communicate, and build good relationships with children, students, guardians, and colleagues. You understand the importance of quickly building relationships, creating safety, and being a good role model. You understand that children and students have different conditions, needs, and ways of absorbing knowledge, which means you adapt your methods and tools according to each individual. You take responsibility for your mission, support others, and take your own initiatives. The role requires flexibility, availability, and the ability to handle different tasks and situations. It is important that you answer the phone and can quickly get to our operations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
