Your Contribution as a Chemical Technician

In the role of chemical technician, you contribute to a climate-smart working method and the development of the Sundsvall region through close collaboration with engaged and competent colleagues. You will work, among other things, on conducting checks of relevant measurement points in the operations and ensuring that processes and follow-ups maintain high quality. The position reports directly to the Operations Unit Manager.

Your Responsibilities Include:

Investigating process problems regarding chemistry in our process flows
Checking applicable measurement points in the operations, participating in flue gas measurements
Conducting sampling and following up on various process flows within and from Sundsvall Energi's facilities
Monitoring order levels of applicable products for the operations
Assessing chemicals against specifications and updates of the chemical register
Responsible for maintenance, service, and calibration of laboratory instruments
Responsible for purchasing and invoicing
Working towards the company's and your own department's/unit's goals

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for someone with relevant education at the post-secondary level, such as a chemical technician, chemical engineer, or equivalent, or at least six months of experience in operation and district heating production or work at equivalent facilities. It is advantageous if you have worked with process control systems and administrative systems as well as sampling in an industrial environment, including subsequent simpler laboratory work. You also have insight into applicable laws and regulations within the profession.

You can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English. A B driver's license is a requirement.

As a person, you are goal-oriented, engaged, self-driven, and proactive. You are also structured, cost- and quality-conscious, communicative, and attentive. Your ability to collaborate is good, and you contribute to good relationships.
