About the company
Circulose is a textile recycling company with a unique technology and a product - CIRCULOSE®, made from 100 percent textile waste, mainly cotton. The company's mission is to lead the transition to circular fashion by making large-scale textile recycling accessible.
About the role
As the laboratory manager, you will be responsible for driving and developing the daily work of the laboratory with a focus on effective and reliable analyses. The role is central to ensuring that sample handling, analysis methods, and reporting function effectively and support the production's quality goals and development. The laboratory manager works closely with both operations and quality to contribute to stable processes and continuous improvements.
You will lead a team of laboratory technicians and engineers and have personnel responsibility for them, which includes work management, work environment, and skills development. You will report to the HSEQ manager.
Examples of tasks:
- Lead the laboratory's daily operations with a focus on quality, structure, and efficiency, as well as plan and prioritize sample flows in collaboration with production and other functions.
- Ensure that analyses, sampling, and reporting follow routines and methods, and that documentation, traceability, and order meet internal requirements and standards.
- Be responsible for laboratory equipment, including calibration, maintenance, and functionality, as well as participate in the development and implementation of new analysis methods together with R&D and production.
- Contribute to the laboratory's safety, security, and quality work, including deviation management, ISO-related routines, and improvement projects related to quality, processes, and laboratory operations.
- Support production with troubleshooting, process follow-up, and quality controls.
- Lead, develop, and support employees, distribute work, and promote skills development within the team.
Who you are
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- A university degree in chemistry, materials technology, biotechnology, or equivalent.
- At least 2–4 years of experience in laboratory work within industry or production-related operations.
- Experience in quality-controlled laboratory work and relevant standards such as ISO 9001.
- Practical experience with analytical instruments and laboratory methodologies.
- Good understanding of sample handling, documentation, and traceability.
- Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
