Your future challenge

Your responsibilities will include:

• Programming CNC machines, lathes, and milling machines
• Working on efficiency and continuous improvements at the article level to minimize setup and operation times
• Optimizing fixturing and running methods
• Participating in machine and equipment investments
• Optimizing work methods and working environment at the machine address
• Managing and following up on quality issues.
• Managing and following up on quality documents.
• Identifying quality problems in processes and products.
• Working with root cause analysis and continuous improvements.
• Following up on trial production.
• Assisting in measurements related to quality in the operation.
• Supporting the rest of the company with expertise in daily operational work and projects.
• Complying with the company's quality processes, methods, and execution.

The production engineering department is part of a section within BAE called Prototype and Hull. Within our section, we build the chassis that later become finished vehicles and have all processes with high-tech machines from cutting to painting in-house.

You will work together with a team of about 3 people with expertise in machining.

Reporting will be to the production engineering manager.

Who you are

We are looking for someone with a technical university degree, vocational training in production technology, or acquired knowledge through experience. We wish that you have practical experience in machining. Production experience is desirable.

If you have previous experience with the SAP business system and Excel, that is a plus. As we are an international corporation, you need to have good knowledge of English.

The work requires strong communication skills and an interest in collaboration.
