Kriminalvården is Growing – We are Looking for a Management Leader

Kriminalvården is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and now we are looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand prisons, and client transportation.

The position is located at the property technical unit, which belongs to the property department. The unit consists of two sections: the Technical Projects Section and the Technical Management and Development Section. This recruitment is for the Technical Management and Development Section.

The Technical Management Section has overall responsibility for Kriminalvården's security technology and for the budget related to the area of technical management. The section is also responsible for ongoing management, including reinvestments, management plans, and smaller projects. You and an existing colleague will have a special responsibility for the North region and will also be part of a management group with representatives from other regions in Kriminalvården.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a management leader, you are responsible for ensuring that technical requirements in projects and management meet the Security Department's specifications. This applies to all technical security systems, both in ongoing management, new and renovation projects, as well as in larger installation projects.

Your task includes determining the investment needs, both in the short and long term, at each operational site. This is often done in close collaboration with local technicians. You are responsible for preparing the necessary documentation for budgets and management plans and for carrying out the new and reinvestments required. Furthermore, the role includes requirement specification, management of smaller expansion contracts, and participation in inspections and follow-ups. You collaborate with other units and sections at the Headquarters as well as with regional and local coordinators linked to your region.

We have a nationwide service and support agreement with suppliers where you can receive support and assistance but also procure materials and services. Business trips are included in the role, and local visits to prisons and remand prisons in the region are common.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is self-driven and takes great responsibility for their tasks. You are structured and plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively with a clear focus on goals and results. You drive your processes forward with good results and can both set and meet timelines and deadlines. When goals change, you can quickly adapt and change direction. Furthermore, you have an easy time gaining a helicopter perspective on your work and tasks. You see the big picture, take into account the broader perspective, and always act in the best interest of the entire organization in your actions and decisions. Finally, you have a high ability to collaborate. You work well with others and are both receptive and clear in your communication.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in a relevant field for the position or other education in combination with experience that Kriminalvården deems relevant
• Experience and overall knowledge of at least three of the following areas and/or systems: Master alarm systems, CCTV systems, Portable panic alarms, Access control systems, Key control systems, Fire alarms, Key systems, Area alarms, Network/Server/storage
• Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
• A valid driver's license (B)

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience from Kriminalvården's operations
• Knowledge of procurement and reinvestment of security technical equipment
