About the role

Vattenfall Services is Sweden's leading company in maintenance, contracting, and consulting services for energy and electrical installations. We are now looking for a Project Manager for our project operations in Northern Sweden.

The business area large Station Projects carries out projects and delivers comprehensive solutions within electrical and control installations to power plants and substations 40-400 kV. Our customers are primarily electricity network companies and hydropower producers. Our delivery includes project management, construction, earthworks, design, programming, configuration, assembly, and commissioning. Working safely in all aspects is a given within Vattenfall Services.

Our assignments are largely total contracts, and we are looking for someone with the competence and experience to drive project organizations and create the best conditions for our Project Managers and organization - which means high safety, good progress, engagement, and quality.

Your role as Project Manager

In the role of Project Manager, you will operate in our northern geography, and your work will be performed both on-site and from your office. Together with appointed project managers, you will drive a large number of projects. You will have the support of Vattenfall Services' competent employees and established subcontractors. The work is independent, while it requires a strong focus on collaboration and communication both internally and externally. You will report to the Business Area Manager and be part of the management team.

Your main responsibilities:

• Responsible for business planning and management, project execution, and financial results
• Procurement and contracting of contractors, services, and materials in consultation with our purchasing organization
• Support project managers at construction meetings and in negotiations with customers
• Work proactively with both customer needs and project employees' engagement, participation, and safety
• Ensure that project managers and project participants work according to our project process
• Ensure that the organization and working methods are appropriate through proactive planning and participation
• Secure collaboration with other department managers and bid/business support

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

• Several years of experience in driving investment projects within electrical power, industry, construction, or infrastructure
• Experience leading a larger project organization that includes total contracts
• Experience in the contracting industry and contract law
• Communicates fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. Sometimes it is also required that you communicate in English, which you feel comfortable with

We are looking for someone who has the ability to drive their work forward independently and effectively while being good at continuously communicating and informing others. You have a business sense and are goal- and result-oriented. Your working style is characterized by structure, good collaboration, sound judgment, and acting in accordance with goals and guidelines with a strong focus on safety.
