About the Position

The Technical and Maintenance Department (TVA) is the Air Force's technical office responsible for continued airworthiness, maintenance production, modification activities, and common technical issues for all aircraft systems in the Air Force. Part of TVA is located in Såtenäs, where we organize 2.TVS. We are now looking for a Central System Engineer (CSI) for the JAS39 aircraft. As a CSI, you will work under the Chief/Maintenance Leader (VMHL) and be supervised by the Technical Manager for the JAS39 Material System (TCM). The position means that you will bring forward, for the units and the Armed Forces, common issues to the relevant authorities within FMV and industry, that is, work for unit adaptation and operational usability of the JAS39 aircraft. You will propose measures by acting as technical and tactical decision support for the Armed Forces and FMV, primarily towards Air Materiel/Gripen.

Main Responsibilities

  • Represents TCM regarding their tasks within continued airworthiness
  • Functionally leads Material Group Managers
  • Responsible for initial assessments, actions, and follow-up of incoming airworthiness directives and service bulletins
  • Operator-customizes approved data
  • Acts as the link between FMV and FM CAMO regarding technical system support and deviation management
  • Provides technical support to KFA, CT, MOA, TCM, SI, units, FMV, and industry
  • Conducts technical investigations and reports
  • Prepares the establishment of publications and deviations, such as Technical Orders, Material Reports
  • Supports monitoring, analysis, and development of maintenance programs.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Specialist officer SO7, alternatively civilian with equivalent competence as deemed by the employer
  • Trained aircraft technician, relevant engineering education, or equivalent work experience that can be assessed as equivalent by the employer
  • Good knowledge of relevant regulations (RML V-6D/V-6A or EASA Part M/Part 145)
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Driving license B.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is responsible, structured, meticulous, and has a good sense of order. You have good social skills and find it easy to connect with people. You see the big picture in complex matters and can develop strategies and suggest what needs to be done, are flexible, and take initiative. We are looking for someone who has the ability to work in a team as well as independently. You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. It is important that you are a good representative of the Armed Forces and support the Armed Forces' values. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

MERITORIOUS

  • Type course on JAS39 or another aircraft system
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance or work with continued airworthiness within the Armed Forces
  • Good experience in managing continued airworthiness (within CAMO)
  • Experience working with processes within the Armed Forces' material production, material supply, and maintenance production
  • Experience working with operational follow-up and support systems used within the Armed Forces (Fenix, Prio, LIFT, etc.).

OTHER

Employment form: Military or civilian permanent employment. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.

Employment rate: Full-time.

Work location: Såtenäs

Start date: By agreement.

Travel in service may occur.
