We are now looking for a Tool Engineer to Artifex in Skara!

Your Responsibilities

As a Tool Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring robust, cost-effective, and manufacturing-optimized tool solutions throughout the entire development process. You will work closely with product development, production, and external tool manufacturers, becoming an important link between design ideas and finished products.

A central part of the role is to contribute early with DFM (Design for Manufacture) perspectives to ensure that components and tools are properly designed from the start.

The role includes early assessment of manufacturability, influencing design decisions, and ensuring that tool concepts adhere to Artifex specifications. You will follow the development from RFQ to finished tool, participate in trials, and be responsible for keeping schedules. The work involves close dialogue with suppliers in Europe and Asia, regular follow-ups, and a continuous focus on quality and risk minimization.

You will be part of an experienced and stable team where knowledge sharing, humility, and technical curiosity are at the center.

The position is full-time, daytime, based in Skara.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in injection molding tools and a good understanding of the technology required to create sustainable and repeatable plastic components. You feel at home in environments where process, materials, and tools meet, and you have the ability to drive your issues forward, from design input to finished solution.

As a person, you are flexible, analytical, and solution-oriented. You thrive in a climate where the pace can shift and where you sometimes need to make quick decisions with good technical precision.

To thrive in this role, you need to be communicative, structured, and comfortable in dialogue with both internal teams and international suppliers. You easily build trust and are used to working independently while also appreciating close collaboration with colleagues. Experience in the automotive industry and multi-component or advanced injection molding is valuable. Experience with the CAD tool Catia is a merit, but not a requirement.
You communicate fluently in both spoken and written English and Swedish and hold a B driver's license.
