Region Gotland operates nursing homes in its own management in six locations. Those of us who work here have the mission to support the elderly around the clock with various services, where each individual's needs are the focus. The operations are based on a palliative care philosophy and Region Gotland's values: trust, care, and participation.

Terra Nova Elderly Care has 60 places, of which 30 are intended for people with dementia and 30 are special accommodation places. The residence is located in eastern Visby – close to both nature and the city center. Since November 1, 2024, the operation has been run under Region Gotland's management after previously being privately operated.

We are now looking for four new employees to join our team at Terra Nova!

Your Responsibilities

We work according to the Individual's Needs in Center (IBIC), which means that the residents are given a safe and meaningful everyday life with individualized support, activities, and a warm approach.

Your duties include:

• Personal care
• Delegated health and medical care services (HSL)
• Contact person and family contact
• Household-related tasks and service duties
• Activities based on the residents' needs and wishes
• Palliative care may occur
• Some administration

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Who Are You?

For employment as a nursing assistant, you must have the right to use the protected professional title according to current regulations. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working in the nursing profession and/or elderly care.

For employment as a residential assistant, it is desirable that you have some form of education focused on care and support, for example as a care assistant, or that you have previously worked in the nursing profession and/or elderly care. Interest in further education and professional development is encouraged.

We are looking for someone who has personal maturity and feels secure in their professional role. You are independent, self-driven, and flexible, with the ability to adapt to changing conditions. As a person, you are stable, resilient, and maintain calm even in pressured situations. You have good collaboration skills and actively contribute to a positive work climate and the development of the organization, both in teams and in independent work.

As all communication and documentation is conducted in Swedish, it is important that you have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
