Audiologist Wanted for Hearing Care in Region Gotland

Hearing Care

The Hearing Care department is part of the Communications Unit, which also includes the Got-IT Resource Center, the Vision Center, and the Interpreting Center.

We have a great collaboration regarding our shared patients between the units.

At the Hearing Care department, there is a wonderful team of employees with high competence and long experience; audiologists, social workers, vision/hearing instructors, secretaries, and technicians.

We are now looking for an audiologist colleague who wants to work with us and be involved in developing and improving the operations of Hearing Care.

Your Responsibilities

The audiologists at Hearing Care Gotland work with the entire rehabilitation process, from initial visits with hearing tests to fitting and evaluating hearing aids and other hearing technical aids. The work consists of both pedagogical and technical interventions.

The audiologists at Hearing Care also perform hearing tests at the Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic at Visby Hospital.

The job also includes record-keeping and some administrative tasks such as ordering and inventory management.

In your daily work, you will meet adult patients of all ages with various types and degrees of hearing loss. You will follow and be responsible for the patient throughout the entire care chain, from referral to functioning hearing aids.

Based on your competence, experience, and interest, there may be opportunities to work with other hearing technical solutions for children and patients with severe hearing loss, as well as the possibility to deepen your knowledge in various areas.

Who Are You?

We are looking for a licensed audiologist.

We place great importance on the ability to independently plan and execute your work and collaborate with colleagues. It is essential for us that you have a good attitude towards patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders we cooperate with.

You should have good knowledge and preferably experience in both hearing assessment and rehabilitation.

The work requires a high sense of service and the ability to adapt based on the needs of the organization. It is important to be able to prioritize and work towards both personal and common goals. You contribute to a good patient flow and quality care.

You have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Personal suitability is of great importance.

Before a hiring decision is made, a background check will be conducted through an extract from the criminal record.
