Make a Difference. Every Day.

Do you want to work as a nurse in an organization where medical competence is combined with an important social mission? With us, you will have a meaningful job in a multidisciplinary environment that meets patients who are new to Sweden.

The Refugee Health Service in Malmö is a unique organization that combines primary care with migration and health. We offer health and medical care at the primary care level to asylum seekers and undocumented individuals and have been a grant-funded unit within the management of Close Care and Health since January 2025. From March 2026, our mission will expand as we also take responsibility for health and medical care in the detention centers in Åstorp and Ljungbyhed. The organization is co-located with the unit for development in migration and health, which provides good conditions for knowledge exchange and the opportunity to contribute to development in the field.

With us, we work in multidisciplinary teams consisting of doctors, nurses, social workers, laboratory assistants, medical secretaries, and receptionists. The work is characterized by collaboration, clear structures, and a shared focus on the best interests of the patient. Our working methods are adapted to the patient group and create security for both patients and staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will work with regular outpatient care within primary care adapted to our patient group. The work includes independent nursing assessments, counseling, follow-up, and collaboration with other professionals in the team. You will meet patients who are new to Sweden and contribute to safe, accessible, and patient-centered care.

Since we are a smaller organization, we work closely together and help each other during absences, which means that work with sampling and in reception may occur. The role offers variation, breadth, and the opportunity to work in an organization that is under development.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale. Experience in primary care, outpatient work, or working with patients from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds is an advantage.

As a person, you are confident in your professional role, attentive, and have a professional demeanor. You enjoy working independently but also in a team and have the ability to adapt to changing conditions. You are interested in contributing to development and see the value of a structured and respectful working method. We place great importance on personal suitability.

In this recruitment, we apply ongoing selection. You are warmly welcome to submit your application.
