About the workplace

Sörgården in Mönsterås AB is a special accommodation located in the picturesque Ålem church village, just a few kilometers from Kalmarsund. We provide support and care for individuals with psychiatric diagnoses and co-occurring substance abuse.

Our work is based on a low-arousal approach and is tailored to each individual's unique needs. An important part of our mission is to create safety and stability, while also offering activities and opportunities for development based on the resident's circumstances. We always strive to enhance the resident's independence and participation in daily life.

Job responsibilities

As a resource person, you will be a close support for a resident at Sörgården. You will work according to the individual plan that exists for that person and contribute to making daily life safe, meaningful, and developmental.

The work includes, among other things:

• Being a support in the resident's daily life, both practically and socially.
• Supporting and motivating based on individual goals and needs.
• Participating in and encouraging activities that enhance independence and well-being.
• Documenting according to current procedures.
• Collaborating closely with other resource persons, care staff, nurses, administration, and management.

As a resource person, you play a crucial role in creating continuity and building trust in the relationship with the resident.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working in psychiatry or other care/support and experience in substance abuse work.
• Is secure, calm, and responsible.
• Has good teamwork skills and can collaborate in a team with different professions.
• Is engaged and has patience as well as the ability to meet people with respect and professionalism.

Meritorious:

• Education as a nursing assistant or treatment assistant or equivalent.
• ESL training (An Independent Life).
• Further education in psychiatry and substance abuse.
