The Swedish Armed Forces Technical School, FMTS, headquartered in Halmstad, is a logistics unit where technology is at the center. The unit's activities rest on four pillars - development, education, workshop, and war unit production. For the Armed Forces' units to operate, they need functioning equipment, and for that, FMTS plays an important role.
FMTS has a functional responsibility for the technical service within the Armed Forces, which includes following technological developments to anticipate future needs and also propose changes and improvements.
There are exciting development opportunities for those who are technically interested, both at a basic and very advanced level. FMTS trains officers, specialist officers, and civilian employees in technical service across all branches of defense. In addition, soldiers are trained in logistics.
FMTS operates throughout Sweden, from Revingehed in the south to Boden in the north. Every day and every hour, our employees make contributions that affect other people's lives, both in large and small ways, both at home and around the world.
The Swedish Armed Forces has a strong value base built on openness, results, and responsibility. Professional development and personal health are valued and encouraged. There are good conditions for internal career mobility, wellness, and a good balance between work and private life.

A security clearance with a background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment includes an obligation to be placed in wartime. The employment also includes an obligation to serve abroad, but the implications of this vary depending on the type of position.
