We are looking for a childcare worker with knowledge and experience of children with severe allergies.

With us, you will work in a clear organization where the best interests of the children are in focus, and where we have established common positions on how we interpret our curriculum, how we work in learning environments, and what approach characterizes our everyday life in preschool. Vanadis preschools have a conscious reflective working method and an organization that supports it. You will be in reflection with colleagues in your department, at your own preschool, and other preschools in the unit.

Vanadis preschools consist of seven preschools at different addresses in Birkastan, Vasastan, and Haga city. In total, we are about 150 dedicated employees, about 600 children, with a management team consisting of a principal and four assistant principals. The unit also includes a pedagogista who supports educators in their teaching work and a special educator. We are inspired by the pedagogical philosophy of municipal preschools in Reggio Emilia.

Your role

We are looking for a driven childcare worker filled with joy, warmth, and enthusiasm, who focuses on what children have the right to in preschool and emphasizes creating good relationships with children, guardians, colleagues, and management. A childcare worker who enjoys learning new things, inspiring others, and values everyone's participation, both children and adults. As a childcare worker, it is important to contribute to the daily functioning of the preschool and to ensure that care, play, and education form a whole, where the daily pedagogical work is based on children's participation and choices. Together with other colleagues at the preschool, you will help create a positive, meaningful, and developing environment for each child and for the entire group of children.

You will participate in the pedagogical development work and the pedagogical documentation according to the preschool's curriculum and operational goals. You are engaged and actively participate in planning and evaluating the work and value reflection as an important part of developing the preschool. You contribute at parent meetings and development conversations. In daily contacts with guardians, you are engaged, child-focused, service-oriented, and professional. You have very good knowledge of working with pedagogical documentation, developing learning environments, project-based working methods, and preferably digitalization.

Your qualifications and experience

For this position, you need to have:

• Childcare education
• 1-3 years of experience working as a childcare worker in preschool
• Experience working with pedagogical documentation

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with children with functional variations
• Experience working with children with severe allergies.

As a person, you are engaged, flexible, and responsible. Your child focus is clear, and you have a positive attitude towards your work and your team as well as the entire preschool and unit. You collaborate with children, colleagues, and guardians in a responsive and smooth manner. You are professional and listen, communicate, and handle conflicts constructively. You are development-oriented but act in accordance with decisions made, the curriculum, goals, policies, and guidelines. You are stable, meticulous, and self-sufficient in your work.
