We are looking for an engaged and structured employee who wants to contribute to developing and administering the municipality's work regarding mother tongue education as well as planning and implementing educational initiatives for students under the municipal activity responsibility (KAA) with a focus on learning and progression towards studies or work.

The Education Office is led by the education manager with a team consisting of investigators, business developers, and business controllers. The operations consist of four primary schools, eight preschools, a meal unit, as well as a culture school and leisure - right now!

The team is located in the municipality's fresh, new offices in an open office landscape that provides good conditions for proximity to colleagues in other offices. The organization also creates good conditions for short decision-making paths. The proximity to the train station makes it easy to commute from both the Stockholm area and large parts of Södermanland!

The position is placed at the central student health unit for learning and development and includes both administrative and educational tasks.

The assignment includes responsibility for planning, administering, coordinating, and, if necessary, participating in the recruitment of mother tongue teachers to ensure a functioning mother tongue education in the municipality, from application, planning, scheduling to follow-up of teaching.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in the establishment and development of the municipality's future learning center for youth within KAA, which through educational initiatives, guidance, and coordinated support efforts will strive to create pathways to studies, work, and increased independence for young people aged 16-20 in Nykvarn Municipality. You will be responsible for educational initiatives in close collaboration with other professionals within student health, primarily study and career counselors as well as social workers and special educators, as well as schools and external actors.

Nykvarn Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, and we consider it an asset if you speak Finnish.

We require you to present a criminal record extract before employment.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a certified teacher with qualifications in Swedish/Swedish as a second language, English, and/or mathematics
• has an inclusive approach and sees diversity as a strength
• has a good ability to create security, structure, and motivation in the classroom
• is accustomed to working systematically with documentation and follow-up
• has excellent communicative skills in both speech and writing and can adapt your approach and communication to different target groups

As a person and educator, you are relationship-building, attentive, and solution-focused, with the ability to meet young people based on their individual circumstances. At the same time, you are structured, responsible, and have a good ability to plan, prioritize, and follow up on your work. Working in a smaller municipality means close collaboration and the opportunity to influence, while you also need to be flexible and self-driven, with the ability to plan and prioritize your work. You thrive in collaboration with others but can also work independently and take initiative within the framework of your assignment.
