We are now looking for an engaged and secure leader for our after-school care with special responsibility for leading and developing the school's well-being leader program. With us, you have the opportunity to combine the educational mission with an active and developing leadership responsibility. For the right person, there is also the possibility of eventually becoming a team leader for the after-school care.

Skärgårdsstadsskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 430 students, where students are divided into two classes per grade. About 200 students are enrolled in after-school care. The school is beautifully located near forests and the sea, about 8 km from Åkersberga center with a bus stop just around the corner. About 50 educators work at the school, of which 13 are within after-school care, providing our students with the best possible education.

Our after-school care has age-mixed groups for grades F-1 and 2-3, as well as a club for grades 4-6.

Your New Job

As a teacher in after-school care, you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for ensuring that teaching is aligned with the curriculum goals and that the activities are planned and evaluated. Together with and with the help of your colleagues, you develop the educational work in after-school care and the complementary mission in collaboration with the school and preschool class. In collaboration with colleagues, you allow students to encounter knowledge in various ways, in different environments and contexts. You take advantage of students' interests and needs in the educational activities.

As a licensed teacher in after-school care, you will be one of the three responsible for the after-school groups.

A central part of the position is to lead and coordinate the well-being leader program at the school. This means that you:

• are primarily responsible for the well-being leaders, students who lead organized recess activities
• support, mentor, and inspire students in their leadership roles
• collaborate with colleagues to create active, inclusive, and safe recesses
• contribute to the school's value-based work through movement, community, and student influence

In addition, you collaborate with teachers/mentors regarding students' social and academic development from a leisure pedagogical perspective. There is also the opportunity to serve as a representative for the school in the municipality's after-school care network. For the right person, there is also the possibility of eventually becoming a team leader for the after-school care.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher in after-school care.

You enjoy creating engagement for movement and joy of movement as the mission includes leading and driving the well-being leader program that Skärgårdsstadsskolan has participated in for several years.

You are grounded in the governing documents and have the ability to positively and engagingly anchor the after-school care's curriculum in the activities.

You have students in focus! You enjoy outdoor pedagogy year-round. You like children and can meet them, their guardians, and your colleagues in a professional manner. You see collaboration as a success factor for improving each other and the activities together. You are solution-focused, flexible, and a team player. You want to develop the activities and also have the ability to do so with good leadership.
