Trainer at the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS)
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also implements secure care for youth. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. No matter where in our organization you work or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.
At our headquarters in Solna Business Park, we are about 400 employees, and together we work to support and develop the authority with approximately 5000 employees.
Job Description
The Competence Development Section is one of the three sections within the HR department at SiS. The section is responsible for the authority's basic training, national training programs, and providing institutions with support for targeted competence development initiatives.
In the role of trainer, you will have a central task in strengthening our employees' skills. You will lead both digital and physical training sessions in areas such as interaction, legislation, care, and support, and you will become a conflict management instructor. Part of the work is physically demanding and takes place in practical exercises with staff groups. We are in an expansive development phase that involves both organizational development and a growing mandate. In this role, you will work in a changing environment where methods, content, and priorities may shift according to the needs of the organization.
Here, you will have a meaningful job where you directly contribute to creating safer and more professional care environments. You will have the opportunity to alternate theoretical training with practical and physical exercises, and you will be part of a workplace where development, collaboration, and social benefit are in focus. The role also includes travel within the country, providing variety and the opportunity to get close to the operations.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in law, behavioral science, care and treatment, or similar, or equivalent competence acquired through work experience that SiS deems equivalent.
- Current work experience in areas such as compulsory care, care and treatment, or the justice system.
- Current experience in instructing, guiding, or training in interaction, conflict management, or safety.
- Experience leading training sessions both digitally and in-person.
- Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Meritorious:
- Experience in CBT.
- Experience in training on legislation related to compulsory care.
- Experience in training in physical techniques and conflict management.
To thrive and succeed in this role, you need to be good at collaborating while also taking responsibility for your work and driving your processes forward independently. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively while being flexible and solution-oriented in changing circumstances. Furthermore, you express a positive attitude towards your work and are committed to achieving good results. We place great emphasis on personal suitability!
At SiS, we care about good employee relations. This means that you, as an employee, take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Read more about our employee relations.
