The Rosenborg Unit is a F–9 school. We consist of grades F–3 and the after-school program at Majtop School and grades 4–9, a cross-municipal special education group, and the adapted primary school at Rosenborg School. In total, the Rosenborg Unit has over 900 students. There is a music and sports profile in the upper secondary school that students from the entire municipality apply to.
Together with colleagues, you will make the students' entire school day both safe and full of knowledge! Study peace is important to us, which is why we have common lesson structures in our daily work with the students. We are working to strengthen our student health efforts at the school, and we are now looking for a special education teacher for our unit, a temporary position for one school year with the possibility of extension.
Your responsibilities
As a special education teacher at the Rosenborg Unit, you will collaborate with skilled and professional teachers regarding our students. In your role, you will work with other special education teachers at the school. Together, you will support the students in the classroom in their learning.
We want our students to be involved and secure in a joyful learning environment and offer them varied teaching and activities. At the school, we work to develop our teaching, and we place great importance on planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching, not least relationship building. Together with colleagues, you will actively work to develop students' teaching. It is of utmost importance that you have a positive attitude towards our students and have a great ability to see our students' possibilities. As a person, you need to be solution-focused and development-oriented and have good communication skills with students, guardians, and colleagues. You thrive in an environment that places high demands on flexibility, decisiveness, and social competence. We are open to new ideas, have the courage to try, develop, and learn. Part of the work involves ongoing documentation and supporting investigations as well as assisting other educators in that work.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are a qualified, skilled, and driven special education teacher. We place great emphasis on collaboration skills, pedagogical leadership, and personal maturity. Your basic view is characterized by seeing possibilities and having a positive and inclusive approach.
- You should have the will and drive to develop teaching at our school. This may involve individual support for students but also close collaboration with teachers.
- In the school's student health work (EHT), you are an active participant. You contribute to driving and sometimes leading the work with colleagues.
- You are active and take significant responsibility in the preventive and promotional work related to both students' knowledge development and their safety, study peace, and attendance.
- You can demonstrate that your work leads to progression in the right direction for the student's best. You conduct result analyses, evaluate, and follow up on your work.
- You are well acquainted with LGR 22 and the governing documents within your profession.
- You see the advantages of close collaboration and understand the importance of creating good relationships at all levels.
Requirements:
- Degree with teaching certification.
- Qualified as a special education teacher.
- Very good digital competence.
- You have a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
Meritorious:
- Good competence and experience in conducting investigations of special support and action programs and follow-ups.
- Experience working with Magma, Legilexi, and RTI.
- Good competence and experience with problematic school absenteeism.
- Experience working with students in need of extra adjustments and also students with NPF variations.
Personal qualities:
- You are professional in your role, take responsibility, are engaged, motivated, courageous, and driven, and contribute to continuous improvements.
- You have good collaboration skills, find it easy to create good relationships, and collaborate with students, guardians, the work team, the school's student health team, and school management.
