Campus Nynäshamn is Stockholm County's only learning center that brings together several forms of education under one roof. Here, adult students from universities, vocational colleges, national vocational training, and municipal adult education meet; we serve as a regional engine, broker, and meeting place for skills development.

We continue to grow – both in the number of students and in our educational offerings – and are now looking for an engaged Study and Career Counselor who wants to help develop our guidance work together with us.

Responsibilities

In the role of study and career counselor, you will work broadly and flexibly in an organization with many target groups. You will, among other things:

Provide professional study and career guidance to adult students within our various forms of education
Support individuals in planning educational paths, career changes, and skills development
Conduct shorter and longer guidance processes, both digitally and on-site
Inform about educational opportunities, eligibility, admission processes, and study support
Be a support for students in transitions between educational levels and school forms
Actively work with admissions, study plans, and follow-ups
Collaborate with educational leaders, teachers, municipal functions, and external education providers
Contribute to the development of guidance methodology, student services, and reception routines

We meet the need for skills by offering young people and adults education at Nynäshamn High School and Campus Nynäshamn. We also work to increase opportunities for people who are far from the labor market to establish themselves or return to working life.

What we are looking for in you

To succeed in this role, you have:

a degree as a study and career counselor
experience or a good understanding of adult learning
the ability to guide students at different levels and from different backgrounds
good digital competence and see the opportunities in using digital tools in guidance
good knowledge of Alvis and experience working with Teams and Zoom

It is an advantage if you have:

worked with guidance in several school forms or in learning center activities
