Workplace Description

Smedshagsskolan is a F-9 school with approximately 377 students and the vision “With us, everyone can reach their dream goals”.

The unit is single-parallel and teaching takes place in a two-teacher system. The teaching focuses on extra reading and language and knowledge-developing methods. Smedshagsskolan is led by a principal together with three deputy principals and an administrative manager.

We believe in fixed routines and a stable framework around our students, while life, joy, and happiness are prerequisites for learning. We focus on the safety and well-being of students and educators as a natural part of everyday life, and we have nice and fresh premises that are specially adapted for our working methods.

Job Description

We at Smedshagsskolan are looking for a licensed teacher for leisure activities who has a great interest in leisure pedagogy and who designs meaningful teaching based on the curriculum, students' interests, and needs. In your work, you will base your activities on the compensatory mission of the leisure center. You will be part of a work team where you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for the educational activities. The activities take place both in class and during leisure time. You see collegial learning as a natural part of your assignment and work. All staff at the school are involved in systematic quality work, and as a teacher for leisure activities, we expect you to be familiar with the central content and skills in the new curriculum texts for leisure centers and that you can base your planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities on these. You will participate in meetings with your work team, collegial learning, and other conferences.

Qualifications

You are a licensed teacher for leisure activities with a low-affect approach and clear leadership. You promote creativity, curiosity, and trust. We see that you have the ambition and desire to help develop the language development work within the leisure center's activities and plan teaching where students can daily develop their physical abilities through physical activities. In collaboration with teachers, you develop cooperation between school and leisure center. It is important that you have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
