Adult education in Södertälje provides all forms of study for adult learners within the municipality as the main provider. This includes SFI, basic and upper secondary courses, vocational training, NY, and higher vocational education. In addition to our own schools, we offer study guidance for all citizens and mapping when needed. Our vision is that adult education should help individuals find the right education that leads to self-sufficiency through quality choices based on labor market needs.

Currently, there is an initiative to expand our learning center with the aim of consolidating our educational offerings for our adult citizens through a single entry point. As part of this, a career gallery will be created where education and business come together to showcase the many paths to self-sufficiency. The career gallery will highlight the various needs and opportunities of the local labor market while educating citizens to make well-informed choices regarding their studies. The career gallery is intended to be built with stations that guide visitors through.

We are now looking for a staff member who can take overall responsibility for both the development phase and then take a greater responsibility for driving the career gallery. In addition, you will belong to our guidance unit with a team consisting of study and career counselors as well as our assessors who support each other in daily work.

Your responsibilities:

- Be responsible for developing and driving activities in the career gallery, both for groups and individuals to visit, where you lead them through visual guidance.
- Participate in outreach activities to attract visitors to the career gallery.
- Create and maintain relationships with companies and industries to foster engagement and keep the career gallery vibrant.
- Collaborate with various activities within the municipality where future visitors may be located.

Who are you?

As the career gallery is under construction, you should thrive in roles where initially there is independent work without overly clear frameworks. Even though there is a team of colleagues, the position will have parts that you need to build up and take responsibility for yourself. You likely have a background in guidance or museum activities where you have worked in similar functions. We are increasingly moving towards a digitalized world, and experience in guidance through various media is an advantage. You have good experience in making contacts, leading conversations, and creating collaborations with businesses and the public sector that yield results.

Requirements:
- University education in study and career counseling or museum pedagogy with a focus on digitalization or labor market.
- Previous work leading groups in guidance contexts.

Meritorious:
- Work with social media to spread good examples.
- Experience with adult learners as a target group.
- Documented experience of working with skills supply.
- Documented experience of collaboration with the business sector.

- You easily create contacts and enjoy networking.

Initially, the position will be based at the adult education premises at Västergatan 2 in Södertälje. Once the location for the career gallery is determined, the workplace may potentially be moved to another location within Södertälje.
