Description

We are looking for three to four skilled high school teachers for HT26 in the subjects of Physical Education and Health, Natural Science, Mathematics, Spanish, and German.

We are open to various subject combinations. Part-time positions may be of interest, although we prefer full-time solutions.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build good relationships with both colleagues and students are important. At Tumba High School, we give significant influence to the work teams, and it is essential that you enjoy collaborating and developing collegially. Tumba High School is one of the region's more well-functioning and results-oriented high schools, and we are looking for someone who appreciates give-and-take as you develop your professional skills together with us at the school.

Our students are generally driven (with high admission scores), and besides a high transition rate to universities and colleges, several students have excelled in national and international competitions in recent years. We have several specialized programs, and as a school, we are particularly known for our teacher-intensive and successful approaches in mathematics. You will work closely with skilled colleagues, and together you will have the opportunity to design much of the teaching. For those who enjoy developing with pleasant and skilled subject colleagues, this is a golden opportunity.

Responsibilities

You will belong to a work team, and most of your teaching will be with the program's students. You will be a mentor and co-creator in subject and team development. You will typically be responsible for a total of 6 courses worth 100 points each during an academic year (about 16 hours of teaching per week) and have ample time to develop as a teacher in a school that always places collegiality at the center.

Qualifications

You are a licensed high school teacher in one of the subjects Physical Education and Health, Mathematics, Natural Science, Spanish, or German. You should have high communicative and linguistic competence, and in dialogue with students, you facilitate their learning and language development. You should enjoy working with people and be a team player who thrives with others. Tumba receives students from about 20 municipalities, mostly from the Stockholm area, and they come to us with high ambitions and diverse educational backgrounds. We work purposefully to develop them all for the future.

Experience working as a teacher is a plus, as are good skills regarding ICT. We work in a Google environment, and knowledge of digitalization in teaching is a positive aspect. Curiosity and some familiarity with AI is a plus. Of course, we also welcome applicants directly from teacher training, provided you have the right profile and education.

Conditions

Collective agreement. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis, so please be early with your application. Permanent employment can be offered to licensed teachers with good references; otherwise, a probationary or fixed-term contract for one academic year will apply. The employment starts on August 12, 2026.
