About the job Futuraskolan AB is now looking for a driven and relationship-building study and career counselor (SYV) who wants to work closely with our students in primary school with a focus on the future.

Employment conditions: Full-time (100%). Fixed-term employment from September 2026 to July 2027.

Your mission You will be responsible for study and career guidance at our secondary schools within Futuraskolan AB. As a SYV, you will work closely with the school's other staff, such as teachers, management teams, and student health services. You will be a key person in the promoting and preventive student health work.

Job responsibilities Your main task is to prepare students in grade 9 for high school choices. This involves close collaboration with the school and guardians to ensure that each student finds their best path forward.

• Individual and group-based study and career guidance for secondary school students, with extra focus on grade 9.
• Collaboration with school management, teachers, student health, and guardians in student support work.
• Active work to prevent school dropouts and strengthen attendance, based on a deeply relationship-based approach.
• Support and guidance in processes related to high school choices, high school admissions, and choices of further studies or professional life.
• Contribute to the school's quality work and development of guidance efforts based on our international profile and PER core values.

Qualifications

• Degree as a study and career counselor.
• Experience working as a SYV, preferably within primary or secondary school.
• Experience in guidance conversations and motivational work.
• Ability to work preventively, promoting, and remedial.
• Good digital competence and administrative ability.
• Very good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English (which is particularly important as Futuraskolan has an international/bilingual profile).
