At the Multilingual Unit, we work with mother tongue teaching and study guidance for students in all schools in the municipality. Currently, we are about thirty teachers with competence in many different languages who deliver high-quality mother tongue teaching and study guidance to our residents. Our unit has a very close collaboration with all schools in Danderyd, both in our own management and independent.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a mother tongue teacher, you plan, implement, and evaluate teaching according to the applicable curriculum. You work language-developing and inclusive and create teaching that gives students the opportunity to grow in both languages and self-confidence.

You teach in groups of about 5-15 students, divided by school stage:

• lower grades years 1-3,
• middle grades years 4-6
• upper grades years 7-9

All teaching takes place at a centrally located school in the municipality, in full-sized classrooms with the equipment you need.

Teaching takes place on Mondays from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The times are fixed from year to year, which provides good conditions for planning and structure in the work.

As a teacher, you are responsible for your groups and subjects, but you are also an important part of a larger team of mother tongue teachers. With us, there are:

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

• Are a qualified mother tongue teacher in Russian
• Have very good knowledge of both Swedish and Russian, both spoken and written
• Have very good knowledge of the Swedish curriculum
• Have digital competence and experience using various digital tools and systems

It is meritorious if you have previously worked as a mother tongue teacher.
