About the operation:

Lovisedal School is located in southern Vallentuna and borders Täby Municipality. The school is centrally located with good commuting opportunities and is also close to nature. The school has about 740 students from preschool class up to grade 9. The school's premises are pleasant and bright and have an accessible learning environment. The management consists of a principal and three assistant principals for each stage and after-school care. We at Lovisedal School are proud of our student health work and have a strong student health team that supports and guides both teachers and students in all parts of the process.

Job Responsibilities:

As a teaching assistant at Lovisedal School, you are an important part of our common mission to put the student at the center. You work on building relationships and are a clear, safe, and positive role model for the students. Your mission includes providing individually tailored support to our students in the middle school throughout the school day, with a particular focus on structure, clarity, and a low-arousal approach. You support students in their schoolwork, social interactions, and in developing courage, engagement, and curiosity. The work is done in close collaboration with mentors, subject teachers, the student health team, and guardians, where you actively contribute to planning and adapting the school day based on the student's needs.

You are involved in the school's collegial collaboration and teamwork, where guidance and stimulation are the focus to create good conditions for all students. As a teaching assistant, you are a stable adult presence who stays one step ahead, identifies needs, and is there for the students when they need it.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a teaching assistant or other educational work with children and students, preferably with a focus on NPF.
  • Good knowledge of and practical experience with low-arousal approaches as well as work with structure and clarity.
  • Personal maturity, responsibility, and the ability to take initiative in line with the school's values.
  • Proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
