About the position

Our teacher in social studies, religion, and history will be on parental leave, and we are now looking for a substitute who can start with us as soon as possible to have the opportunity to work alongside the current teacher for a few weeks. The assignment for the remainder of the spring term will be to tie up and complete the courses.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a teaching degree with qualifications in social studies, history, and religion. If you also have previous experience as a teacher in the subject, we see that as an advantage for the position. We want you to be comfortable with governing documents such as the Education Act and curriculum, and to work formatively. You should be well acquainted with the Swedish language and have the ability to work in an inspiring way in the classroom. You will also be a mentor for a class, and it is advantageous to have experience in mentorship. As a person, we see that you have good communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues. It is also important that you are self-driven, have a passion for your teaching, and are used to making your own decisions. We expect you to contribute with engagement based on your personal qualities and have a professional approach. We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented and can create trusting relationships with the students. You are a clear and creative leader in the classroom and adapt your teaching based on the students.

Conditions

Temporary employment with a 100% workload, starting immediately until June 18, 2026. Seasonal employment. To be employed at Berga Agricultural High School, a criminal record extract must be presented. Selection and recruitment may occur continuously during the application period, so apply today.

About us

Berga Agricultural High School is located in Västerhaninge outside Stockholm and is owned and operated by Dille Gård AB. Berga is a high school with just over 200 students. We have a farm with crop production, cattle, and sheep. We have a large equestrian operation with our own riding hall. For students coming from afar, there is a boarding school with over 100 places. The farm's area amounts to 600 hectares, which makes the school’s location unique for Stockholm County, just 30 minutes by commuter train from Stockholm Central Station. Since 1921, young people have been educated in agriculture at Berga, although the farm's history dates back much further than that.
