Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions
We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
Do you want to work in an engaged team where we combine knowledge, experience, and heart to support people in difficult life situations? The Dependency and Crime unit works with adults aged 20 and above with dependency issues, comorbidity, and homelessness problems.
We are 17 employees consisting of social workers, outreach workers, and guides. In the area, we also run a well-functioning outpatient treatment program in our own management, which gives us good opportunities to create a holistic approach for our clients.
Your role
As a social worker in the dependency group, you will have a varied, developing, and meaningful job. We are currently participating in a pilot linked to the new Social Services Act (SoL), where we explore together how the future social services can be shaped. This means that we test new working methods, work more in teams, and think broadly about roles and assignments. As a new employee, you will be an important part of this exciting development journey and have the opportunity to influence how our operations are shaped going forward.
In your daily work, you will investigate and process applications and reports according to SoL and LVM, follow up on decided interventions, and make assessments based on clients' individual needs. Since we work in a team-based pilot form, other tasks may also become relevant. This may include case management within social intervention groups, financial assistance, outreach work, etc. The role includes working at locations other than the office throughout the year and being involved in developing and shaping working methods for a more accessible social service.
Many of our clients are in a very vulnerable life situation and need support in several areas of life. Your ability to build relationships, create trust, and meet people with respect and sensitivity is therefore central to the assignment.
We work with Motivational Interviewing (MI) and use ASI as an assessment method in the investigation work. Our outpatient care in Rågsved is an important part of the whole surrounding the client. We base our work on evidence-based practice where we weigh together research, professional experience, and the user's participation and perspective.
We are looking for someone who is curious, flexible, and interested in working with various types of tasks. You thrive in change, enjoy learning new things, and want to help develop both yourself and social services together with others.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in social work
- Experience in investigative work within social services.
- Fluent in spoken and written Swedish, which is important for communication with users, documentation, and collaboration with colleagues and external contacts.
It is an advantage if you have:
- ASI training and MI training.
- Experience working in the Paraplyet operational system.
- A valid driver's license (B).
- Experience working in a politically governed organization.
To succeed in the role, you need to be able to work independently but in dialogue with your manager and colleagues. You are structured, enjoy collaborating with others, and have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. The work involves a lot of collaboration with various contact points, so it is important that you enjoy creating and maintaining relationships. You also demonstrate perseverance as the cases are very complex. As a social worker, you have the ability to quickly reprioritize your work if the needs of the users change.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
