We are looking for an engaged and professional social worker for a summer job in our team at Advanced Home Healthcare (ASIH).

About us

Aleris Primary Care provides ASIH, palliative care, rehabilitation, urgent care, and basic home healthcare. With a clear care concept and good collaboration, we create safe and secure transitions in care – making a difference every day.

Within Aleris' palliative care area North, we provide ASIH on behalf of the Stockholm Region and care for severely ill patients at home. The operation consists of six ASIH units in northern and western Stockholm.

We offer specialized, person-centered care around the clock to adult patients, primarily with cancer, COPD, heart failure, and neurological diseases. Our work is characterized by commitment, participation, and a holistic view that creates security for both patients and relatives.

The Role

With us, you will have a job characterized by teamwork and care on the patient's terms.

As a social worker, you will provide qualified social support to help patients and relatives manage and process their emotional, social, and practical situations arising from illness, injury, and a changed life situation. The social worker provides qualified guidance on issues such as illness-related crises, family conflicts, and social challenges. A strong emphasis is also placed on interventions that are meaningful and enhance quality of life.

We work in the patient's home but also have the option to receive visits at the unit as well as conduct digital visits.

You will be part of our paramedical unit with colleagues working in various professions such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, and social work. In addition to the paramedical group, you will work in teams in close collaboration with nurses, doctors, and nursing assistants.

As a person, you have a flexible working style, are attentive, and take initiative. We see that you are confident in your professional role, have an easy time collaborating, and enjoy teamwork. You should be able to work both independently and in a multiprofessional team.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a degree in social work (requirement).

• It is advantageous if you have experience working with multi-sick patients and in similar roles.

• Is empathetic and can work with patients in complex care situations.

• Is flexible, independent, enjoys teamwork, and is confident in making your own assessments.

• Has good communication skills and a solution-oriented attitude.

• Has a valid B driver's license (requirement) as the job often involves meetings with patients and relatives in their homes.

Employment Conditions Employment type: Fixed-term employment from 2026-06-08 to 2026-08-21.

Location: You will work within ASIH North and be based at one of our units in Täby or Sollentuna, whichever suits you best.
