Staff Member for Active Everyday within Social Psychiatry

Within the social administration of Järfälla municipality, there is the area of social psychiatry whose task is to provide support and assistance to individuals with various mental health challenges, and our program Active Everyday is at the heart of this work. Here, people meet dedicated employees who, with warmth and competence, help each individual find their way to a meaningful life.

We are now looking for a staff member for Active Everyday within social psychiatry. Active Everyday is an initiative for individuals with mental health issues or those covered by SoL. Active Everyday has two operational locations, one in Jakobsberg and the other in Kallhäll. With us, participants can engage in activities such as cooking, baking, arts and crafts, exercise, music, and much more. Currently, the operations have 60 participants who take part in various activities from Monday to Friday, as well as more social interactions on weekends and public holidays. The operation is open from 8:30 AM to 3:45 PM on weekdays and half days on other days.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work involves supporting and inspiring participants to have an active everyday life with various activities. By providing motivation and guidance, creating structure in daily life, and strengthening the individual's own abilities. Support should be provided together with the participant, and the idea is that the work serves as a preparatory measure to give each individual the opportunity for personal development and social community.

As a support assistant, you are expected to:

• Help, motivate, and provide support in the operations
• Contribute to a meaningful and good living environment
• Inspire participants to find a suitable activity
• Contribute with skills and knowledge for the development of the operations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and maintain contact with other partners
• Be flexible and able to provide support during absences
• Be creative and engaged.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You are a trained psychiatric nurse or caregiver with a focus on psychiatry
• Have previous experience working with the target group
• You can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish

As a person, you are fearless and proactive in unpredictable situations. You are confident in yourself and with the target group. Furthermore, you are attentive, stress-resistant, flexible, and within the framework of written routines, you have the ability to plan, evaluate a situation, and take initiatives that lead the operations and participants in a positive direction. We would also like you to have experience in baking and cooking, as the operations prepare lunch every day and bake several times a week.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Training in MI (Motivational Interviewing)
• B driver's license
• Experience with low-arousal approaches
