14-Year-Old Girl Seeking Personal Assistants

Do you want a rewarding job where you enrich the daily lives of individuals with disabilities and help them in their everyday life? We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a personal assistant with a 14-year-old girl who lives with her family in Värmdö.

The family lives a bit away from public transport, so you need a car to get to this workplace. As a personal assistant, you will work with something that is among the most valuable - making everyday life meaningful for users in Värmdö municipality.

In the role of personal assistant, you will assist with whatever the user needs support with for their daily living. The assignment depends on the day's situation; it can involve everything from personal hygiene, medication, respiratory support, and communication to being a support in various situations in daily life. Respect, empathy, and commitment are key principles in our operations.

We are now looking for someone who wants to work with this girl in her special school in Nacka. You will start and end your work in the girl's home in Ingarö, traveling with her to and from school using special transport. You will assist her with eating, medication, and hygiene during the day; the school handles the educational part during school hours. However, you will also be able to work with the girl in the family's home on certain evenings, nights, and weekends.

As communication is a significant need for our users, it is a requirement that you speak and write good Swedish.

Who are you? You have a few years of experience with the target group, and you have a personal approach and are interested in learning tasks such as using a cough machine and respiratory support. You have good knowledge of various aids. You are calm and can handle situations that may be perceived as stressful. You are secure and stable in acute situations and have the ability to spread safety around you.

It is advantageous if you have experience working with people who have respiratory issues and physical limitations.

We would like you to have previous experience as a personal assistant.

To get to the workplace, a car and driver's license are required as the workplace is located a bit away from public transport.

As a person, you are calm, secure, and outgoing. You are good at building relationships, adaptable, and have high integrity. The user places great importance on personal qualities and chemistry. As a person, we want you to have a creative ability in planning and executing activities. You should be able to act solution-focused and think outside the box. You need to be patient and have endurance. You are used to taking initiatives and still have a childlike spirit.

For this position, presenting a valid extract from the police criminal record is a prerequisite for employment.
