So who are we? We are an adult unit in a reasonably sized municipality with high ambitions for our citizens. Our unit is responsible for all public authority work for the target groups of domestic violence, substance abuse, and crime. We are located just a minute from Jakobsberg’s commuter train station, gathered with many of our colleagues within IFO. Our unit consists of 12 social workers, one housing consultant, two group leaders, and one unit manager. Järfälla municipality is a friendly municipality with good opportunities for the right person to do good social work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a summer substitute, you will perform tasks that are part of the Adult Unit's regular responsibilities. These include reception, readiness, and investigation in cases concerning public authority work for individuals with substance abuse, criminal behavior, or experience of domestic violence. We investigate, assess support needs, and grant assistance in accordance with the Social Services Act and LVM when applicable. We document, are close to the individual, and are careful with the follow-up of granted assistance. We work together with our colleagues internally and often collaborate externally. Within IFO, we have a stated ambition to strive for an IFO without silos and with shared responsibility for the citizens of Järfälla.

Depending on your experience, you will initially be closely supervised by the manager, group leaders, and colleagues with the hope that you will become more independent as the summer progresses. We offer you an individually tailored introduction plan where we see you as a resource worth developing for mutual benefit.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who will graduate as a social worker this summer or who is nearing the end of your studies, is between jobs, or someone who understands what a great municipality Järfälla is and takes every opportunity to come here.

If you are a social work student, you need to have completed your field placement at a public authority or within a relevant area of practice. Any experience you have with the target group or the handling process is valuable. In addition, you need to be driven, eager for challenges, and good at communication. We hope you are a wise and fearless person with a great ability to remain calm. The role of a social worker requires you to be structured, stable, and have good empathetic skills. You need to have good judgment, be structured in your work approach, and have excellent collaboration skills. You must be able to communicate easily in both speech and writing as there is a significant amount of documentation involved in the work.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
