About the operation:
The residential support is part of the execution operations IFO open care, support, and preventive work where we offer family treatment, youth treatment, and addiction treatment. We work with assistance from the social services authority and have close collaboration with social workers. Residential support is primarily about motivation and support. As a residential support worker, you go to our clients' homes and coach them in planning and structuring their daily lives in a pedagogical and motivating way. We support our clients in everyday tasks, planning purchases, various types of errands, in contact with authorities and healthcare providers, and if necessary, accompany them to scheduled meetings. The residential support works with the ESL method, an independent life. The work is based on the individual's needs and within the framework of the individual assignment. The work is very varied and stimulating and requires the ability to assess the client's needs at the moment and adapt the support according to their current status.
Job responsibilities:
As a residential support worker, you work independently with daily tasks, with support from coordinators, managers, and other team members. Your main tasks consist of client-facing work in the form of individually tailored support such as social support, structure, and ADL. The main work takes place in the client's home, but you will also be responsible for supporting clients with visits and errands outside the home. Furthermore, you are responsible for establishing and following up documentation and record-keeping around the clients. The work is based on a systems-theoretical approach and is based on the individual's needs. The starting point is that nothing is impossible until you have tried.
In the role of residential support worker, you work Monday to Friday during the day, with some evening work occurring.
Qualifications:
- You have relevant education in the field, for example, as a nursing assistant.
- You have work experience in care and support within psychiatry.
- You have knowledge of various psychiatric conditions and neuropsychiatric disabilities.
- Since the job requires documentation in social journals and administrative tasks, you should have good computer skills and command of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
- A driver's license (B) is a requirement.
- It is an advantage if you have training in ESL and/or MI, low-arousal approach, suicide prevention.
