The Social Administration provides support to the residents of Botkyrka and is responsible for authority exercise, primarily according to the Social Services Act. The support is for both individuals and their relatives. The Social Administration has a special responsibility for children, youth, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. We are about 500 employees who provide support to the residents of Botkyrka in an equitable, fair, and safe manner using strength-based approaches.

The Position and Responsibilities

Do you want to help shape tomorrow's social services and create the future Botkyrka? We are now looking for a social worker for the Investigation Unit for Children and Youth 2.

Here we work with commitment, humility, and high legal certainty to provide children and families with the support they need.

The unit is in a development phase. We have transitioned from being specialized units, focusing on children affected by violence, to working broadly as generalist units for children and youth. Our goal is to create continuity and long-term relationships so that families experience fewer changes of social workers. We want all children and young people to grow up under good conditions, always with the child in focus.

As a social worker with us, you will investigate children's needs for protection and support. You will plan interventions together with the child and their guardians, follow up on decisions, and collaborate closely with other professionals. The work is carried out in accordance with applicable legislation, guidelines, and routines, with a focus on legal certainty and quality.

Your main responsibilities:

• Investigate children's needs for protection and support according to the Social Services Act
• Plan and follow up on decided interventions together with children and parents
• Collaborate with colleagues, other units within the Social Administration, and external actors such as the police, schools, and healthcare
• Document and make decisions according to the applicable delegation order
• Contribute to the development of work methods and routines within the unit.

You will be part of an engaged unit with two teams, each led by a senior social worker. The unit also includes administrative support and the municipality's child house coordinator. You will receive ongoing supervision from the senior social worker as well as a close collaboration with the unit manager, guidance, and teamwork. Who You Are

You have a degree in social work and documented experience of authority exercise within the field of social services.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Training and experience working according to BBIC and Signs of Safety.
• Experience investigating children and youth or working with those affected by violence.
• Experience collaborating between different authorities and actors.
• Experience expressing yourself clearly and professionally in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Experience documenting factually and concisely.
• Experience working in a politically governed organization.

In the role of social worker, you use your security and professionalism in meetings with children, youth, and their families. You have a respectful and empathetic approach that builds trust and enables the establishment of sustainable relationships, even in sensitive and complex situations. Your ability to meet each individual with attentiveness and respect contributes to a safe and legally secure handling.

You work responsibly and structured when planning, implementing, and following up investigations and interventions. At the same time, you are flexible and can quickly adapt when circumstances change. You thrive in close collaboration with colleagues, managers, and external actors, where your ability to cooperate and clear communication create good conditions for joint solutions.
