The department for common reception and interventions is one of five departments and consists of nine units. The department is responsible for the first contact with both citizens and professionals who may need social services. Counseling, authority exercise, interventions with and without needs assessment are some of the main responsibilities. The interventions are provided both individually and in groups to children and adults. The department is also responsible for budget and debt counseling as well as investigating estates.

Since 2022, the department has developed its operations with the help of service design to utilize the knowledge that citizens have, thereby becoming a more open and accessible social service with the new social services act as a guideline. The development work has resulted in new working methods and a new culture. Today, the administration is sought after in national contexts to share information about the ongoing development work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an operations coordinator, you will contribute to ensuring that the administration fulfills its mission within the framework of applicable legislation, governing documents, strategies, and financial frameworks.

You will, in consultation with the unit manager, provide close case supervision and daily support to employees.

Within the framework of the supervision, you are expected to engage and motivate employees towards renewal and development and work towards achieving the goals of the operations.

You will identify development and training needs within the administration's processes and collaborate closely with business developers on these issues.

The operations coordinator is responsible for developing and ensuring internal collaboration so that it is perceived as seamless for the individual.

You will also work to develop and maintain external collaboration. The role requires that you are well acquainted with the social administration's mission and offerings and have good knowledge of the social services' mission and the responsibilities of other collaborating administrations and authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You as an applicant must have a degree in social work or another academic education that the employer assesses to be equivalent/suitable.
  • Experience working within social services, individual and family care, is considered meritorious.
  • As an operations coordinator responsible for coordinating interventions, you need to have a good ability to work independently and in a structured manner, be solution-focused, and be comfortable making decisions. It is important that you have good analytical skills to identify needs and develop the area to contribute to the administration's strategic work.
  • Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The position is a temporary contract lasting until the end of December 2026, with the possibility of extension.
